GlasGOw Global event for year 1 students
GLASGOW GLOBAL This event is exclusively for first year law students, so you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain!
Do you want to learn a new language, volunteer with refugees and asylum seekers, or spend a couple of weeks in Holland at a free summer school?
We are offering these opportunities – and loads more – as part of the GlasGOw Global award scheme, where we will help ensure that you receive not only the platform to participate in exciting global activities, but that your time and experience is recognised on your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) transcript when you graduate. As you know, international awareness is critical in getting ahead in a competitive job market and in impressing future potential employers in your applications and interviews. And in any case, international immersion makes life more interesting! Whether it’s short-term mobility doing an internship at an NGO abroad, buddying a student on exchange in Glasgow from the USA, or spending a couple of weeks in New Zealand at an international conference – we are here to support you.
IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT MORE – and how to get involved with the award scheme – please come along to our GlasGOw Global event on Monday the 18th of January at 4pm until 5pm in the Gloag Theatre in the Stair Building. Student coordinators and Professor Jim Murdoch will be there to tell you more and answer any questions you may have. You will also have the chance to meet people who have had these opportunities and who can tell you how accessible they are for everyone.
If you’re interested, please register your interest by getting a free ticket on our Eventbrite page at the link below. This event is exclusively for first year law students, so you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain!
